FASHION WEEK GALORE………..Nigeria, Africa & Abroad!!!

Drum roll………

We kick of the year with a slew of Fashion Weeks around the globe. If you were able to attend the Spring 2015 New York Fashion Week shows in September last year, you’d have been fortunate to salivate in person over a number of stunning collections and ponder, while bending your head in wonder over some…..not so awe-inspiring designs. My favourite from NYFW is this streamlined yet youthful look by Hugo Boss:

Michael Kors’ showing was great as always but personally, I’ve always loved his bags more than his clothes. I also liked this look by Rosie Asoulin:

because it reminded me faintly of an innovative design by Nigeria’s very own Mai Atafo as showcased at Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2014:

2015 promises to be exciting and filled with so much creativity and expression in the fashion world. The London and New York shows come up in February and the now popular Africa Fashion Week Nigeria is slated for May 2015. Nigeria is at the forefront of growth and innovation in African design and we are taking the world by storm. I anticipate a lot of interesting ideas to spring forth this year and will be sharing the honour roll of designers scheduled to showcase their work at the event.

More on this later and I will be sharing my personal foray into the design world, taking you on a long journey with me. Keep up the creativity.
