AFWL 2015 has announced the Designers & Exhibitors that will be displaying at Africa Fashion Week London 2015 under the KZN FASHION COUNCIL.
This Weekend on 7-8 August 2015, Olympia West Hall will play host to designers and exhibitors from around the world to celebrate their fifth year anniversary.
Founded in 2009, the KZN Fashion Council was formed to tie together innovation and improve national competitiveness in the South African fashion business landscape by bringing related industries together.
This has led to building a South African fashion design sector that is innovative and internationally competitive, leading to economic development and much needed employment creation.
The KZN Fashion council is a Non-Profit Organization formulated by the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs EDTEA) and eThekwini Municipality’s Economic Development & Investment Promotions ED & IPU.
The mandate of the council is to support and uplift the design and fashion sector of KwaZulu-Natal to ensure that the number of designers that receive support from the Council grows each year.
Strategic programmes are delivered for junior, emerging and established designers with a focus on previously disadvantaged individuals; the KZNFC equips designers to become competitive on a national and global scale.
KZNFC is funded by South Africa’s Department of Trade and Industry will be supporting the following South African design business participants at Africa Fashion Week London 2015.
