It’s the fashion season once again and the St Eve West African Fashion Show is back, bigger and better. Fashion lovers and buyers in and outside the country are gearing up for the most glamorous fashion event of the year as the countdown begins.

It promises to be a November to remember as we bring you all you need to know about the St Eve West African Fashion Show.

 

What is the St Eve West African Fashion Show?

The St. Eve West African Fashion Show is an annual fashion show organized by the St. EVE Magazine, a quarterly publication whose major concerns are Health, Beauty, and Fashion.
The focus of the SEWA Fashion Show is to create an international fashion event that will promote West African fashion and take it to the world to build a meaningful fashion trade whilst nurturing creative opportunities.

 

Is this the first edition of the St Eve West African Fashion Show?

Certainly not! This is the third edition of the event.

The show debuted in 2013 with the theme ‘Fashion on the Terrace’ and was regarded as a great success. The second edition tagged “Fashion in the Savannah’ took centre stage in December 2014 and blew minds away.

A bigger and better show awaits this year.

What’s unique about this year’s fashion show?

In the words of the Creative Director of the event, Evelyn Okere:

“With this year’s show we want to market designers as much as possible by giving them exposure. Our ideology at St Eve West African Fashion Show is that one day, people here can be proud to say they are wearing an indigenous fashion label just as they are proud to mention foreign brands.”

 

What is the theme of this year’s show?

The theme of this year’s event is ‘Fashion is art, Art is fashion.” You can join the discussion on Twitter using the hashtag #FashionIsArt

 

What can fashion lovers look forward to?

Fashion lovers and buyers are guaranteed to witness never-before-seen designs from new and emerging labels like Latreia Designs and Rudavson, who will have the chance to walk the same runway as traditional fashion powerhouses like My Beautiful Africa and Ade Bakare.

 

What’s the highlight of the fashion show?

The highlight of this fashion show will be the use of Artistic Fashion Prints, Art Exhibitions, Live Portrait Drawings and the presence of top international designers from Nigeria and West Africa. There will also be Exhibitions, Auction Sales, and elegant models on the Runway.

 

Where will the event take place?

The fashion show will take place at the Eko Hotel And Suites Victoria Island Lagos on the 28th & 29th November 2015.

 

What time will the event begin?

The Exhibition ground opens to members of the public by 12noon each day where a wide variety of fashion items including shoes, bags, clothes, make-up ingredients, among others will be on display at discounted prices. Again, entry into the Exhibition Ground is FREE!!!

The Fashion Show proper however is a ticketed event that begins by 4pm. Red Carpet starts at 3pm.

Any side attractions, please?

Aplenty. Comedy and dance performances will be given by top acts. The beautiful Toni Tones of the ‘Hey Boy’ fame will also be on hand to thrill the audience.
